Career History

Andy began his musical journey at the age of 7. His early drumming career included a weekend residency at just 12 years old, setting the stage for an impressive start in the industry. By the age of 16 he had become a full time professional.  After leaving his home town in the West Midlands to live in London, Andy spent three years as the resident drummer at the Talk of London, Drury Lane before moving into West End musicals. 

West End and UK & European Tours

Over the years, Andy has played for many West End musicals including Grease, Fame, Footloose, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Dancing In The Streets at the London Palladium.

UK and European tours have included Cats, Saturday Night Fever, Chess, Grease, Fame, Footloose, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and many more.

Cruise Ship - Positions

Andy's career has taken him aboard some of the most prestigious cruise lines, where he served as band leader on Cunard's Queen Elizabeth, performed in the theatre orchestra of the Queen Mary, and also in the orchestra and big band aboard the Queen Victoria.  

Andy was musical director for P&O aboard the Britannia, and also played in the theatre orchestra for a number of other P&O ships.

Current Shows and Pantomimes

Since 2023 Andy has been touring the UK with In The Name of Love - The Diana Ross Story.  He is also the current drummer for the Joe Loss Orchestra.

Andy has played for many large scale pantomime productions across the UK. Since 2019 he has worked each year for Crossroads Pantomime's production at Nottingham's Theatre Royal and will joining the company again for the 2025/26 production of Cinderella.
